Apple's slickest iPhone releases may slip to a 3-year cycle - CNET
"Apple might prolong its big iPhone refreshes from every two years to every three years.
The company currently issues a major iPhone upgrade every other year, with a less momentous model coming in the off year. For example, the iPhone 5 was followed by the more incremental iPhone 5S, and the iPhone 6 by the iPhone 6S.
A shift from that plan is 'likely,' according to Japan's Nikkei newspaper, just as the smartphone market itself is shifting."

SpaceX successfully lands a Falcon 9 rocket at sea for the third time | The Verge
"SpaceX just successfully landed the first stage of its Falcon 9 rocket on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. It was the third time in a row the company has landed a rocket booster at sea, and the fourth time overall.
The landing occurred a few minutes before the second stage of the Falcon 9 delivered the THAICOM-8 satellite to space, where it will make its way to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO). GTO is a high-elliptical orbit that is popular for satellites, sitting more than 20,000 miles above the Earth. The 3,100-kilogram satellite will spend 15 years there, helping to improve television and data data signals across Southeast Asia.
After landing, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that there would be 'some risk of tipping' as the rocket was brought back to port."

"One of the complaints I'm hearing with increasingly regularity in the wake of an Apple or Google launch event is that the company in question is 'playing catch-up.' Hey Apple, nice job with that Surface Pro clone. Ok Google, I see you have your own Alexa now. There's actually validity to these allegations, but I think the way we interpret the facts is wrong. Apple and Google are the two great giants of the tech world, and if they're having to catch up to others, that's just a sign of a thriving industry.
