MacBook Air Eliminated, iPad Pro To Blame? – NSEAVoice

"If you are hoping to see a brand new MacBook Air coming out this year, you are out of luck because Apple has decided to axe the ultra-light laptop. The decision was made at the start of 2017 and it was influenced by sales of the MacBook Air last year.

The laptop has failed to achieve its sales target hence Apple has decided to pull the plug on it. Even so, we don’t think that Apple has gone into detail in explaining why they have decided to kill the MacBook Air.

We raised this point because we noticed that the MacBook Air started its sharp decline right after Apple launched the iPad Pro. The latest tablet turned into an immediate hit in the market as it is tailored for greater productivity – the first of its kind in the iPad series.

We also know that the iPad Pro is capable of functioning as good as the MacBook Air and the fact that it has greater mobility make it more attractive than the laptop.

So is it right to blame the iPad Pro for the MacBook Air’s downfall? Perhaps yes but we prefer not to play the blame game because this particular outcome has been anticipated for so long now.

The iPads will keep on growing in performance and it won’t be long before they start to look like reasonable replacements for laptops."
